Also for the pilgrims arriving here, anna dasoha is also arranged. Daily from 12 pm to 3 pm lakhs of pilgrims and tourists receive the goddess Chamundeshwari’s prasadam. Those who are interested can provide rice, grams, jaggery, sugar, and other things to Dasoha Bhavan via vow. There are two ways to enter the temple. One is free entry and another one is a special entry of Rs.100/- to have the darshan. 2 days a week that is Tuesday and Friday locals visit the temple in large numbers. If you take a special entry ticket on those days, there won’t be a lack of time.

 

 

There are many things to do at Chamundi Hill. Trekking of Chamundi Hill starts at 5 am from 1000 steps. This trek starts from the foot of Chamundi Hill and reaches the tower by climbing 1000 steps by foot. In the center, there’s a 200-year-old Nandi statue carved. You can also do an aerial view of Mysore here. Also, do some photoshoots. You can also give bananas and peanuts to monkeys. Do yoga on the rocks. You can also listen to your favorite melody songs amidst Chamundi hill’s breeze. There’s a lot to do at Chamundi Hill at night too. During the evening time, you can do surya namaskar and pranayama at the yoga tower in the center of Chamundi Hill. Around 7 pm lighting of Mysore city can be seen. There are things, that you should not do at Chamundi Hill. That is, do not roam around alone here during the evening. Since there are Wildlife and wild animals, movement by foot is completely prohibited. Since this region is a plastic-free zone, usage of plastic is also prohibited. Therefore, you can not take plastic water bottles or plastic handbags here. Mainly it is an alcohol and smoke-free zone. Usage of matchbox should not be done for any reason because it is a thick forest area.

 

 

 

Chamundeshwari Temple is on the top side of Chamundi Hill. Easiest way to reach Chamundi Hill which is just 12 kilometer from the Mysore Bus stand, is by ac Volvo buses that depart every 15 minutes from the Mysore city bus stand with the charge of Rs.20/-. Or going via taxi from anywhere in Mysore. The facility of picking you up from the place you are and after the darshan at Chamundi Hill’s temple dropping you at your doorstep is also available. The expense for this is Rs.600/- and the time it takes is 4 hours only.
